You know you’ve matured when you lose a friend, or feel one distancing, and it doesn’t even phase you. I’ve lost everyone. Every. Fucking. Friend. Every friend that I used to hang out with every day and share everything with I don’t even wave to at a passing glance. It’s pathetic, it really is. But you know, when you really need someone to be there for you and they AREN’T, that’s when you realize. You realize that shit isn’t that bad without them. Shit’s actually pretty damn good. I can’t say I don’t miss what I had with those friendships, but I also CAN say that I am perfectly happy without them. The fact of the matter is that the people who have befriended me have a lot of growing up to do. They haven’t the slightest inkling of the real world. I’ve matured an assload and I have realized that I don’t need a goddamn person in order to be happy, and some people never realize that in life. If you cannot make yourself happy then NO ONE else will ever be able to. So to you friends that thought I would be down and helpless without you: Go Fuck Yourselves.
